Share a call
Share the chat a call happened in and the link carries the call, its summary, and the transcript. The audio goes only if you include it, and hiding sensitive information replaces numbers and addresses with censor bars.
A call is shared the way the rest of the chat is: the Share button, then a public link or an invitation. See Share a conversation for the dialog itself. What follows is what a call adds to it.
What the link carries
- The call itself: the card, its status, and the number it was placed to
- The summary of what happened, and anything that was held for your approval
- The transcript, line by line, with each side labelled
- The rest of the chat around the call
The recording does not travel unless you say so. Include call recording is off by default, and without it the link still carries the call, the summary, and the transcript, with no audio. Someone opening the link can read and hear what was decided without hearing the call itself.
An invitation works differently: the people you invite are in the live chat, so they follow the call as it happens rather than seeing a snapshot. See Invite people to a chat.
Hiding the sensitive parts
Hide sensitive information on a share is the switch for a call you would rather not hand over whole. It replaces phone numbers and email addresses with censor bars throughout, including the number the call was placed to, the objective, the summary, and every line of the transcript, and it always drops the call audio, whatever Include call recording says.
The public page states that sensitive information has been redacted, so a reader knows they are seeing a redacted copy.
Stopping a share
The link is a snapshot, and it stops working when you choose Keep private, exactly as it does for any other chat. The recording in Settings is untouched by sharing: it stays yours, and deleting it there is separate. See Call recordings.
