Watch a call while it happens

While Dropstone is on a call, a call panel opens beside the chat: the status, live captions of what each side is saying, the full transcript, and the summary and recording when it ends.

Available onFreeProMaxEnterpriseRequires a verified phone number.

When Dropstone places a call, two things appear: a compact card in the conversation, and the call panel itself, on the right, the way an artifact opens. The card is the at-a-glance version; the panel is the call.

The panel draws the call as a phone screen, because that is what it is:

Hello, I am calling on behalf of Rohan Mehta about a table for four on Friday.
Friday is full until 8:30. I could do 9:00.
Nine works. Let me confirm that and call you straight back.

Summary

Booked for Friday at 9:00 pm, four people, under the name Rohan Mehta. Nine was outside the window you set, so it was held and confirmed on a second call.

When it ends

While it is dialling and ringing

The card and the panel carry the same status, so you can tell a call that is still ringing from one that has been answered:

  • Calling and Ringing while the number is being reached
  • Dropstone is on the call once it is answered, with a running timer
  • Call ended, or Call failed if it could not connect

Live captions

The panel shows what each side is saying as they say it, one line at a time, newest at the bottom. Every line is labelled, so the words Dropstone is speaking and the words coming back are never confused.

The card in the chat carries the latest line while the call is live, which is enough to follow along without opening the panel.

The full transcript

Open the transcript from the panel to read the whole call, start to finish, with the same labels. It is kept with the call, so you can check what was actually said rather than relying on the summary.

The controls

The panel has the controls a call needs: mute, speaker, the keypad, and the button that ends the call. Ending it from the panel is the same as the call ending on its own: what was said is kept, and the summary is written.

When it ends

The card grows to show the summary of what happened: what was asked, what was agreed, and anything held for you. The panel keeps the same summary, the transcript, and the recording, with a player to listen back and a download button.

The recording is also listed in Settings under Recordings, which is where it is deleted from. See Call recordings.
